Dr. Rachna Arora is a psychologist, counsellor and the founder of https://yourcounsellingcorner.com/, an online private counselling practice. Her initiative is driven by a passion to support and empower women and young girls in achieving mental well-being and taking charge of their lives.
She holds an MA, M.Phil, and Ph.D. in psychology and has over 15 years of experience assisting women of all ages with their psychological, emotional, and relational challenges. She began her career as a counsellor with an NGO, where she provided counselling for family and relationship issues. She worked as a counsellor at PGIMER,Chandigarh, and received the Best Counselor award from the State Aids Control Society, Chandigarh.
Additionally, she is the co-author of the self-help book titled “Indian Women and The Shaadi Conundrum”, which assists women in navigating pre- and post-marital challenges.
Some of the issues she works with include adjustment and transitions, conflict resolution, setting boundaries, postpartum motherhood, mild anxiety, low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence, mild depression, anger, stress, and relationship difficulties.
Her counseling approach is client-centered and holistic, using various therapeutic modalities to address the needs and concerns of each client she works with. She believes that clients are their own experts, and her role is to facilitate and support their journey in managing and overcoming life’s difficulties and challenges.
She fosters a strong, respectful, non-judgmental, and authentic relationship with her clients, allowing them to openly explore their feelings, circumstances, and relationships. She sees herself as an active guide in the counseling process, helping clients derive maximum benefit from her services.
She offers a safe space for reflection, self-connection, inner healing, and empowerment, enabling clients to face life’s challenges confidently and find the right solutions to their problems. She also helps clients cultivate self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-love, as these are essential factors that aid in their healing journey and enhance mental health and resilience.
